How to do FTP in binary mode

1. Go to server
2. open command prompt as Start > Run > cmd
3. type ftp and enter
4. type open and give ftp address (for e.g. xxx.abcd.com)
5. it will ask you for user name and password (give as provided by ftp providor)
6. Now type binary and enter
7. It will show that it is now in binary mode
8. Now type put and enter
9. ftp should complete
10. Do not logoff from server else it will break the ftp
11. to check the progress, open ftp in another window and check the current size by typing the dir command (it will list all files with their size in bytes)
